Experience Tjønnås

Experience Tjønnås!

Are you looking for pure nature, fresh air, silence and organic food?

We can offer unique experiences at our ecological small farm in Telemark with history dating back to 6-700 AD.
Hear your own thoughts - with peaceful animals and the sound of the forest in the background. Enjoy a view from our traditional guesthouse with a balcony.
The bee sums in the incredibly beautiful flower beds, and collects nectar to honey you can bring home.

For the meals, you will be served e.g. ecological potatoes, norwegian "pinnekjøtt" and "fenalår", sausages, meat produced from moose, deer and reindeer from the local woods, together with "lefse", "kling", and "flatbrød"/flat bread.
You can pick your own fresh eggs from our free-walking hens.
For dinner we can serve a strong and great-tasting homebrew, and we make liquor from local berries.

You can participate in tours with guide to local historical places and viewpoints in the local area. Pick berries from the forest, and enjoy "tyttebær", blueberries, and cloudberries - afterwards we'll make jam from it.
Participate in the everyday farm activities, and enjoy everything Tjønnås has to offer - based on what's available when you arrive.
2 hours away, our neighbor will offer you to participate in baking breads in a stone oven. While the bread is getting baked, you will be offered to see one of Telemarks finest Middle age attics.
After a day full of exciting experiences and great food, you can rest comfortably in a traditional "kroneseng"/crown bed.

During your stay, you will be offered to experience traditional norwegian folk-music through wooden flutes, "hardingfele"/norwegian violin, torader, harp and piano.

We accomodate 5-10 persons from thursday to sunday.

Welcome!
